P-T football team welcomes new kickers

Logan Hunter kicks an extra point in the Warrior’s 33-7 win over Kiski.

The Penn-Trafford football team has two new underclassmen starting kickers this year: Jack Miller and Logan Hunter. Miller is a freshman, while Hunter is a sophomore.

Miller has played football for three years and plays wide receiver and cornerback for the junior varsity team. Miller also used to play soccer, which adds experience to the ‘kicking’ part of his football skills.

This is Hunter’s first year playing football, and he only focuses on kicking. Hunter also plays on the soccer team, making kicking more natural. Even though they might play different positions, kicking is their favorite.

“My favorite part of the game is the atmosphere, being on the field Friday, and putting points on the board,” Hunter said.

Miller and Hunter have goals for this season: to improve, win games, and make the playoffs.
