Q&A: Senior shares sports team experiences

    Nick Turowski is a current senior at the high school and committed to playing golf at West Virginia University in the fall. He is a four-time starter on the golf team and has been a part of the boys tennis team for four years. After winning golf WPIALs this past season he is preparing for the upcoming tennis season

     Q: How many years have you been playing tennis? 

     A: Four

     Q: What made you start playing tennis?

     A: When I was a freshman, my brother was a senior, and he played tennis, so I started playing.

     Q: What do you enjoy about playing tennis?

     A: I enjoy the fact that it’s an individual sport, so if I lose or win it’s on me.

     Q: What’s your favorite part of being on the team?

     A: The coaches on the team are amazing.

     Q: Does the team have a goal for the tennis season?

     A: To have as much fun as possible.

     Q: What else do you enjoy doing besides tennis and golf?

     A: I love to fish and hang out with my friends.

     Q: What do you enjoy about playing golf?

     A: Much like tennis, it’s an individual sport so it’s all on me. I love being outside all day and in nature. 

     Q: What made you start playing golf?

     A: My dad always played golf and got me and my brother into it at a very young age.

     Q: What are you looking forward to the most in college?

     A: Just traveling the world playing golf.

     Q: What are you going to miss the most about high school?

     A: Definitely my friends.
