As the festive holidays approach, The Warrior searched to find the most popular and unique holiday gift requests. From animals to clothes, Penn-Trafford students have a variety of wishes they hope to be fulfilled.
Many students wanted sports equipment, such as sophomore Allison Krier who said, “I would like some new track spikes because mine are brown and missing spikes.”
Freshman Madi Gavrish also asked for equipment to help with sports.
“I’d like a massage gun because it would help with recovery after swimming and other sports,” said Gavrish. “I also want a mini one that I can take to away meets.”
Aside from sports items, multiple students asked for technology gifts. While some electronics were too old or broken and needed to be replaced, sophomore Mackenzie Cox looked to give a gift that would benefit both her and her family.
“I’d like to get some Apple Headphones because I enjoy listening to music, and I think my mom wants her Beats back,” Cox stated.
Julianna Eshman, a freshman and former foreign exchange student in Germany, wished for a unique gift.
“For Christmas, I would love to have plane tickets to Germany so I’m able to see my host family and siblings again.”
The most popular gift wish was a new pet, mostly kittens and puppies.
“I want a puppy because they are adorable, play with you, are great companions and will have a bond with you forever,” said sophomore Adalyn Hawk.
The other items at the top of students’ wish lists were clothes and shoes. While most wanted clothes and shoes to expand their selection, junior Marielle Wilson was specific in her choosing.
“I would like Ugg Tasmans because I want a versatile shoe,” said Wilson.
Rather than asking for material gifts, teacher Christina Wukich had a more memorable wish.
“I just want all my family together to make memories, laughing, playing games and enjoying each other’s company.”
