Penn-Trafford High School students share their fall favorites

As Thanksgiving approaches, students and staff at Penn-Trafford High School share their favorite things about the autumn season.

Sophomore Alexia Klingensmith said she enjoys the cool weather. “It’s my favorite season and the weather is perfect,” she explained.

Kendra Oxendine however, opposed this. Oxendine said her favorite thing about fall is “definitely not the weather.”

Julia Salvador said she loves Halloween and going pumpkin picking with her family. Salvador added that she loves Thanksgiving at her house, “Because I get to spend time with my family and friends, I also love the food. My grandma is Italian and is an amazing cook.”

Sophomore Lyla Hoffmiester and Julia Salvador said her favorite thing about fall is the colorful leaves.

Lyla Hoffmiester said she appreciates the fall leaves, explaining they are like art. Hoffmiester recalled loving the beautiful colors since she was young. Haunted houses are also a favorite festive activity of hers.

“Going to haunted houses with my friends is always so fun,” Hoffmeister said.

Briana McGough said she enjoys horror movies. “The Scream” franchise is one of her favorites, and she likes to spend her time binging these films.

“It’s a great combination of scary and funny,” McGough added.

With all these festive activities, the students are excited for the autumn season and the joy that comes with it.
