Administration and management classes sell shirts for good cause.

Kim Stefkovich’s intro to administration and management classes annually put together a T-shirt project using all of the skills they learned throughout the year.

Students are in charge of every aspect of the process. This includes designing the shirt, creating goals, managing sales and marketing.

At the beginning of the project, the class was divided into mini groups. Each group member contributed to a specific aspect of the project, such as the company logo or shirt design. The students then voted on each detail of the project to represent the group.

Stefkovich said that the idea for the project came from the show “The Apprentice”. She “took that show and made it applicable to the class.”

One skill that Stefkovich had the class focus on this year was the use of social media. Kim stated that the reason was the “rise of companies using social media to promote products and services.”

Junior Gianna Pezze said that the project taught her to better work in groups, along with strengthening her creative thinking skills.

This year’s sales support a local charity named Beverly’s Birthdays. Founded in 2011 by Megs Yunn, the charity focuses on giving children who are homeless or come from families in need with meaningful birthday celebrations.

Kim stated that 2022’s sales are very competitive. In fact, this year had the best first week of sales in the history of the project.

According to the fundraiser’s website, the class’s students have donated over $105,000 to charity across the project’s 16 year life.

The sale lasts for the entire month of March. Students can purchase City of Champions shirts here and the Warrior Army shirts here. QR codes linking to the shops can also be found on T-shirt posters throughout the school.
