The Christmas holiday season is a time for the community to come together, and Penn-Trafford High School’s Media Literacy classes threw a Christmas party on Dec. 15 that did just that.
The party was held for the children within the community to get excited for Christmas and to raise money for a good cause.
All proceeds of the event went towards the Carson Hope Foundation, which supports families dealing with pediatric cancer and research. Media Literacy teacher Kathy Kelly-Garris said the event raised more than $3,900.
The night was filled with activities like decorating cookies, arts and crafts, temporary tattoos, a movie, and even Santa made an appearance.
“It was good to see the community come out and have fun for the night” said Media Literacy intern Kenna Schropp.
