Face masks become mandatory for those entering businesses

Over the course of the last few weeks, face masks have seen an extremely high spike in demand. Pennsylvania now requires that all people at grocery stores and pharmacies wear face masks to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

If you want to use these essential services, you are going to need to get a face mask.  There are many places you can find them for sale, and you can even make them yourself if you do not already have one.

Several places you can find face masks online include Amazon, Walmart and even Disney’s online store, where they sell masks featuring art of popular characters.

If you don’t have the ability to buy face masks, you can make them using materials at home. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a video on their Youtube channel that has Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams showing how you can make your own homemade face coverings.

You will need two materials. The first is some kind of cloth. This can be a bandana, scarf, towel, or even fabric cut from a T-shirt. The second material can either be two elastic hair ties or two rubber bands.

The first step is to fold the cloth top and bottom to the middle. Repeat this step. Next, you will grab your rubber bands or hair ties and put one on each side. After that, fold the cloth that is on the outside of the rubber bands to the middle.

It should be noted that the main function of these masks is to prevent the spread of the virus, not to prevent you from getting it. You should still exercise caution and keep yourself sanitary in order to avoid contracting COVID-19.

We at “the Warrior” hope you stay safe during this outbreak, and following the proper measures is the best way to do so.
