The long-awaited Marvel movie, “Avengers: Endgame”, hit theaters on April 25, 2019. One of the most anticipated movies of the year, a google forms poll showed that of 127 students, 71.7 percent of students claimed they would see the movie.
With both “Infinity War” and “Endgame,” Marvel has done an excellent job of allowing every character to have their chance to shine with a decent amount of screentime.
A common criticism with “Infinity War” was that it felt like Captain America was more on the backburner of the roster, but in the latest installment of the franchise, they had him at the forefront of the action.
Cameos in this movie were also astounding from both dead characters and those who were thought to be written off. One of the most humorous to see was a small Korg and Meek appearance from “Thor: Ragnarok” playing Fortnite while returning to Earth with Thor. The callbacks in this movie brought a smile to a lot of the people in the theater as they applauded for a good portion of the movie.
The CGI in the movie was also splendid, from the ships to the characters. One scene in particular towards the end of the movie was one of the greatest I have ever witnessed in cinema. Almost every major character from past Marvel movies seemed to play a part in this movie, as a proper crossover should.
One fault in the movie was the absence of an after credit scene. After staying until the very end, the only thing fans were greeted with was the Marvel logo.
Overall, “Endgame” was a marvelous movie that is highly recommended to anyone who has been a part of the Marvel movie franchise throughout the past ten years.
