“Cosmic Hallelujah” has ignited a more upbeat tone than his previous albums. Originally named “Some Town Somewhere,” the release was supposed to be in July. The album is currently the No. 11 selling album on iTunes.
On track four, “Noise,” Chesney sings about political talk and everyday racket. He feels that every politician is vying for attention, and eventually all of it becomes white noise. An avid fan of Kenny Chesney is Penn-Trafford sophomore Madison Trainor. She said, “I like his style—the way he puts it together and the words he uses. I think this album could have a deeper meaning.”
Trainor also said, “most country music is about alcohol or girls. He talks about deeper things–like “Noise” talks about having a voice. My favorite song on the album is either ‘Coach’ or ‘Noise’. ”
The last track “Coach” reminisces on the impact a coach can have. “Coach” was co-written with Casey Beathard. Chesney reflects in the song, combining his music with his love of sports.
Overall, the new album by Kenny Chesney is doing well on the charts. You can buy it on iTunes, Amazon, or listen to it for free on Spotify.
